Does anyone know how to get a Dell PowerEdge 1850 to boot from a usb key
Hi,
I'm trying to get a Dell PowerEdge 1850 to boot off of a USB Stick to update its drivers using the Dell SUU Utility. Does anyone know how to enable it in the BIOS to boot off of a USB Stick? I'm looking through the BIOS Settings and tried several things.
When I try to boot off of my USB Stick contiaing the Dell Driver Update .iso file, I receive a error indicating
bootmgr is missing.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kevin C.

SUU is not bootable. You need to boot first to SBUU/SMTD, then insert SUU as the repository.
To boot USB on an 1850, you must insert the USB THEN power on, boot to the BIOS and set USB to the top of the Boot Sequence (and/or Hard Drive Sequence).
