HD compatibility 13G 12G
Will 11G-12G hard drives work in 13G servers if we have the right caddies?
Or is there a different firmware for 13G HDD's?

If you would, could you provide me with the part numbers for the drives in question? I have yet to see a cross compatible drive between the 12th and 13th generation servers, but I can try to verify from the part you have if it is compatible.

Chris,
I'm looking at multiple drives. Is there a special firmware needed to work with the new perc controllers?
Let me give you one example:
Dell part number DTK38.
In euro shop it shows as compatible with gen 11, 12 and 13 (see T630 entry)

In US shop it doesn't list the T630 as compatible.

Any update on this ? Lokited provided some sku if u could shed some light on firmware compatibility.
Got 13G drives to be used in 11G servers but i can't find any solid info if it would detect and function well.
