KVM 4322DS No power issue new R730 sips

Hi,

We are having problems with new r730 sip connections, in several datacenters we see that the connections of the new machines flap between idle and no power. Even if the connection is idle sometimes we cannot access to it. We don't have problems with other servers such r720s, r710s and java version is fine for them. We tried to reboot, reseat cables, upgrade (several times) but no luck, we have the same problem in different locations.

It seems that the problem is similar to this post:

Could you help, please?

Thanks in advance.

It looks like you are not running the latest firmware. I would update it.

Thanks

Hello

The main difference between the R730 and the older servers is that USB 3.0 is a feature that was introduced with the 13th generation servers. By default USB 3.0 should be disabled.

For testing I would disable USB 3.0 on one server if it is enabled. On another server I would disable any operating system power control of the USB ports. I would then monitor to see if either of those changes resolve the issue.

Thanks

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately usb 3.0 is disabled and there is no OS installed yet. We try to kickstart them remotely but it's not possible because we don't have access. Power settings are better performance, if that helps.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Daniel, it seems more stable now

We were using the last version here:

Thanks again.
