Lifecycle Controller issue
Hi, I'm trying to install an operating system using Lifecycle Controller on a Dell PowerEdge R720 but for some reason, it just pops-up an error message:
Unable to retrieve the list of supported operating systems (SWC0015)
Recommended action: update the system with the latest Lifecycle Controller OS Driver Pack, obtain the OS Driver Pack from the service provider.
Thanks
Jeff

I'll let someone else speak to repairing LCC, but what OS are you trying to install?

You can always install directly from the Windows media. The drivers for any RAID controller you might have (except the S110) should be native to 2012 R2. Just remember that if you have an H710, it does not support non-RAID, so RAID must be configured (in the CTRL-R utility) prior to attempting to install the OS.

Hi,
Actually RAID has been configured for the 5x drives which I have. 2x RAID 1 for OS and 3x RAID 5 for data. I've finished setting up the raid and yes, I can actually install the OS via media but if Lifecycle is corrupted I would like to also repair this for the purpose of for example I'll be turning over this task to another specialist, at least they don't need to install manually from the Windows media and use LCC.
Thanks
Jeff

Hi,
Issue has been solved. What I did was install the operating system manually using RAID driver. After OS has been installed, I downloaded the Dell OS Deployment Driver pack and reinstalled using the latest LCC.
Thank you and have a great day to all!
