M1000e - Hot Remove of Switch IO Modules?
I know it is safe to add a IO module while the chassis on powered on. Is it also safe to remove one while the chassis is on?
I am going to remove two Dell PowerConnect M6348 and replace them with two M8024-k 10GbE SW.

Hi Ed-Dolle,
They can be swapped with the chassis powered on. Depending on what they are connected to and the roles it may be good to shutdown the servers during the swap so that the software doesn’t start timing out, but from a hardware perspective they are hot swappable.
