Memory Utilization issue in Dell Server R810.

Dear Concern,

one our valued customer facing issue in R810 server memory utilization from memory redundancy option.

I have installed physical memory 128GB (4GB module) but showing 112GB from OS.

Our Troubleshoot step:

  1. Try to change memory redundancy option Spare to Disable.
  2. Flash BIOS 2.7.4 to 2.9
  3. Reset all physical memory but issue is not resolve.

Note: Memory Redundancy Option set always Disable and not changeable like Spare, optimization or mirror.

Please suggest me how can I solve this issue.

Just to clarify:  Do you have it in Optimized mode, or are you trying to use a redundant configuration?

Then I would assume you have a bad DIMM. Have you tested them? Does OMSA indicate a faulty DIMM or one that is not recognized?

All memory are tested and don't showing any bad memory from DSET report. Recently we are change bad memory module and reset all memory but problem is same. Please provide another solution or suggest me how can i rest BIOS all setting.

ALL memory modules are accounted for in their slots? You can reset BIOS to defaults by clearing the NVRAM by using the jumpers on the motherboard.

I am also Clearing the NVRAM using jumpers but problem is same, showing 112GB memory from 128GB. Please suggest me problem is solve or not if i replace the main board??
