PC3L Memory

I have been charged with taking over a group of servers and am working with a Dell PowerEdge R720 with an Intel Xeon CPU E5-2650 0 2.00GHz and trying to upgrade its memory.  I have purchased Samsung 32GB 4Rx4 PC3L 12800R memory modules.  When I place them into the device I get an error code of PST0129, "Memory is detected, but is not configurable".  The thing that confuses me is that there are other R720s in this group that are successfully using the same memory.  Is there a setting in the BIOS that I need to configure? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

On both? Are both the same motherboard/system revision?

The BIOS version is the same on both servers.  I believe that the motherboard is the same on both. Will confirm when I get back to work on Monday.  I assume I will be able to find that out within the BIOS of each machine?  Thanks!

I'm not familiar with multiple revisions of the 720, but when there are multiple revisions of a board/system, they may support different processors and/or RAM speed/capacity, although they use the same BIOS code. As long as the BIOS versions are the same and the RAM in each one is EXACTLY the same, I can't think of another reason (except possibly bad RAM stick(s)).

So I am unsure exactly what happened but I switched from Optimizer Mode to Advanced ECC memory mode and then back again, and for some reason it accepted the new memory. It did take a long time to configure, but I was ok with that. Thanks for your help Flash.
