Manual is not very helpfull about this error, server was working, reboot then this.

Since PS power on and Fans too I guess is a  MB malfuntion, but there is anything else could cause it?

RE: PowerEdge SC1430 lights 1&2 blink amber power light

Lbonavino,

According to your system documentation, the blinking amber lights 1&2 is due to System Board Regulator failure in which; "A power failure has been detected in one of the onboard system board regulators. This could be caused by a failed system board component or by a plug-in device creating a short on a regulated power rail. (PS_ON asserted, PS_PWRGOOD asserted, SYS_PWRGOOD de-asserted)"

In order to rule out the system board failure, remove any attached USB devices and use minimum to POST components below:

  • System board
  • Processor (with heatsink) in socket 1
  • One stick of memory in slot 1
  • Power supply
  • Control panel (to turn on system)

If the blinking lights persist, replace the system board.
