PowerEdge SC430 Does Not Support Bootable PCI-E Controller Card

FYI, after purchasing two SC430 for our customers, we were disappointed to find out there is still no BIOS support for booting to any add-in PCI-E drive controller cards (ie. SIIG, Adaptec, etc.).  With more PCI-E slots than PCI slots as well as being touted as an actual server, this just doesn't make any sense.

Hope to save some you from the frustration of trying to use the SC430 as a real server (or even a real workstation).  Dell support, please release a BIOS asap that uncripples this server and supports booting to PCI-E cards.  You give the whole server line a bad name by releasing a server product that doesn't even live up to some of your workstations.

Reseller that is thinking twice,
Chris
