PowerEdge T610 BIOS Update not Executing

Hello I've two PowerEdge T610 severs to update the BIOS on. Both have Server 2008 R2 32bit installed. They are currently on version 6.2.3. I've got the executable T610_BIOS_79Y7N_WN32_6.5.0.exe containing the version I want. When I execute it on either of the the servers nothing happens. Checked running processes and event logs but there is no reference to the file running I'm logged in as administrator. I can run the file on a laptop and extract the contents without issue so I know the files not corrupted. Does anyone have any thoughts? As I've managed to extract the file, which of the contained files do I run to update the BIOS? Steve

Hello

I would try the 64-bit version. It should be on the same download page.

I'm fairly certain that 2008R2 is only available in 64-bit.

Thanks

Tried that with the same result. Server is definetly 32bit. SteveJ

Oh, and if you have antivirus software on the system, see if it can be set to allow this package to run.

try right clicking the file and run it as administrator (even though you are administrator).
Then , after nothing happens (which is unusual), go to C:\ProgramData\Dell\UpdatePackage\Log\T610_BIOS_79Y7N_WN64_6.5.0.txt and see what it says is the reason for the failure.

Not even getting any log files generated. Suspecting the Symantec may be stopping it.
