R410 Memory upgrade options

Hello,

Recently purchased 2xR410 for a LAB which have 6x4GB installed from factory

(6x  9J5WF DUAL IN-LINE MEMORY MODULE, 4G, 1333, 2RX8, 8, 240, REGULATORY, LOW VOLTAGE).

Can someone please advise me on possible memory upgrade options?

Can I put additional 4GB or 8GB modules in the 2 remaining/free slots? I'd like to have more memory but the system should auto boot without being there and pressings keys :)

What is important when choosing the new modules (sizes, brands, 2RX8, etc)?

Thanks

Hello.

Memory upgrade options depend on how much memory you are looking to add and existing memory.

Yes, you can. This looks optimal. See a similar thread on this link: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/servers/f/956/t/20007444

The most important thing is that the memory should be supported and that it gives you room for future upgrade.
