R710 slow performances

Hello,

i have a R710 with 2 sata disks in RAID 1. S.O. is Windows 2003 32-bit R2 updated with the latest SPs.

I'm experiencing slow performances with the video card. Screen is rasterized slow and sometimes when i click links on mouse over Internet Explorer, the mouse hangs for a while then come back to normal.

I updated the latest R710 Firmware and Bios along with the drivers, but no success.

Any1 got a suggestion?

Regards

LT

The Video driver is installed during OS Installation via DELL CD ROM. The version seems to be the same of DELL support site.

Did you install the video driver from the Dell support site? (you didn't mention this)

We have seen such behavior due to Virus. Check if your system has any viruses....

Have you tried a "clean boot" of the system to eliminate any third party applications/drivers from being the source of your issue? This article references Windows XP but will work for Windows Server 2003.

Hello, thanks for you replies.

The server got a clean install, no other 3rd parties driver/apps are installed. Anyway it seems only due to refreshing the video with the bad and old Matrox cards.

Performances seem to be good using it as application server (IIS NLB).

I'll continue to monitor.

Kind regards
