R730 with AMD S9050 and VMware 5.5U2
I'm trying to get the AMD s9050 working on the R730 in VMware 5.5 vSGA but xorg stops and the driver on AMD says its supports the R720 so wondering if anyone has this working and or a newer driver from AMD for VMware?

The latest driver supporting ESXi 5.5u2 is located here. It shows to be the supported driver in Vmware, as seen here.
Let me know if this helps resolve the issue, or if that is the driver you are using.

That's the driver I'm using and everything installs properly no errors I see the graphics adapter in VMware but xorg will not stay running it gets a segment error and aborts after a few moments! it just seems to have a disconnect between AMD S9050 and the driver? VMware says oh that driver is for the R720 so we cannot help you which is pretty ridiculous unless AMD built code that only works on the R720?
