Requirements for the cores
Hi,
Is it possible to request a specific number, like one core or 2 cores, for the number of cores for the CPU? Will such requirement affect the speed of the machine?

HuaMin,
Depending on the server, within the BIOS under Processor Settings you can manually select the number of cores. It will effect speed lowering the core count.
The need for limiting is generally due to licensing, is that the case?

Thanks a lot. Do all the machines have such a way to manually choose the number of cores to run? I don't think this is the proper to avoid the licensing, isn't this?

Not all of them, I think most after the 8th generation support the core limiting.
