Set up alert message upon hardware failure in PowerEdge 2900
Hello,
Trying to figure out how Set up alert message upon hardware failure in Power Edge 2900. I re-created raid 5 and somehow I stopped getting these messages. I use as follows: Windows 2012 R2 PERC 6 DRAC 5 I tried to set it up via the Open Manage 7.4 as follows: Preferences -> General Settings , but I cannot get it to work. I will appreciate if someone can provide some steps.
Thanks,
Doron

Hello
You may need to re-enable SNMP in the operating system or reconfigure something with SNMP. You can find OMSA documentation on the OMSA support page. There may also be alerting capabilities on the DRAC5. That would be configured through the DRAC web server/page or RACADM commands.

Hello,
OK After I enabled SNNP via the OS, then how do I connect that to set the alert message with OpenMange 7.4?
Thanks,
Doron

Here is an article:

Configuring the agent (OMSA) to communicate with any management station(OME) via SNMP should be the same. The SNMP setup and configuration in the guide should be enough to help guide.
