T620 CPU temperature

Hi, I have PowerEdge server T620 with Two cpu E5-2670.

Bot of them temperature is near 70 С. (Idle is 70 and under full load max 76)

Is this normal temperature for that CPU with 056JY6 heatsink?

This is a default fans' response to CPU heavy load. How many fans do you have installed? Inspect the heat sink and if damaged, replace. Depending on your system configuration and with fully populated of hard drives, PCIe devices etc; you may need additional cooling by introducing additional fans. Apply this current iDRAC with LifeCycle Controller update: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=NK96V

Hello.

The maximum allowable operating temperature of the Intel Xeon E5-2670 processor is 80 deg. Celsius. Is the CPU reporting any temperature related messages? Review the system's hardware logs for fan failures and others. I do also see that the heat sink of part number 56JY6 is the supported heat sink on this server.

iDRAC reporting that two fans is working fine.

System Board Fan1 13% 1320 RPM
System Board Fan2 11% 1320 RPM

If I start heavy loading on CPU fans staring at 35-45% and CPU temp drops to 67-69.

Can it be problem of broken heatsink? or may be i need to by additional Front fan assembly?

After Upgrading iDRAC to latest version fans going to 50% and CPU temp now 50-57 Idle and 66 max under heavy loading.

I have:

2 Fans on my System.
6 HDD
2 Xeon E2-2670 CPU

I'm wondering where can i get additional fans for T620 System?

The fan RPM/speed is dependent on the ambient temperature and is regulated by the iDRAC. Do you have any PCIe cards including GPU card installed? When more than 1 CPU and 2 PCIe cards are installed in the system, the fans' RPM, noise or speed will be higher and the system will need additional cooling using the redundant fans' option. Here is the part number for the  fans' assembly/carrier MGDM0 and supported fan TW71C. Note that the fan assembly takes up to 4 fans

I have 2 PCI-E cards: 1 PERC H710 Adapter and 1 PCI-E SSD drive.

MGDM0 pars is OK but does this assembly support 8WXRC fan?

I thought you had those cards installed and it a reason you need additional cooling. Part number 8WXRC shows as supported on T620 server.
