Hi

Thanks for the reply.

How can I get to the web interface it is booted windows now.

And will it solve the fan speed?

Will dell just fix the installers so they can easily be run and upgrade the system?

They all crash here :-(

JanJensen,

What you can do is download the version here. It is the iDRAC6_1.99_A00_FW_IMG.exe version of the download, not the update package. Once downloaded then open and run that exe from the desktop, it will extract its files to the folder you specify. Copy the file ending in .D6 to USB. Access the iDrac6 web interface and select the Update tab. From there browse to the .d6 file on that USB and then it should update.

Let me know how it goes.

You will place the ip address for the iDrac into your browser. It should look like this https://10.10.10.10/.

Then you will see the iDrac login.

Hi

It dont work.

How can I make sure it is running?

The server is booted up with windows.

The main problem is the fans go on and off like crazy even there is no heavy load.

Even if cooling the room lower gives no difference.

i rebooted and did CTRL E to get in some util and put ip 192.168.1.170

i can now ping that IP from windows but no web interface maybe it is not the idrac?

It still says EMC firmware 1.70 so how can I upgrade it?

Will dell fix the programs that crash when running the upgrade?

It is the live versions on their website so perhaps they need pull them if they crash?

You probably don't have a DRAC, just the ESM.

Run the windows updater from this link. http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=F4D3G

If that doesn't work.

unzip BMC_FY14_Q1_195_A00_IMG.exe and run the .exe installer from a bootable dos USB key.

i download the

Run the windows updater from this link. http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=F4D3G

but it says it cant run on computer.

First one

BMC_FY14_Q1_195_A00_IMG.exe

unpacks to 5 files and wont run

Second one

ESM_Firmware_F4D3G_WN32_1.95_A00.EXE

says package version 1.95 installed version 1.70

so i press Yes to update then it crash

bmcfwuw.exe has stopped working a problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

so what can i do now?

Dell PowerEdge R210II 1.95 BMC

1.95 BMC firmware for R210II

it unpack 5 files
