install new memory dell server poweredge2900
currently have four 1GB sticks in the server poweredage 2900 .in slots 1, 2, 3, and 4
I need installing two 2 GB sticks . (which is where I assume I should put the new two 2GB sticks to become the total memory 8 GB ).

The 2900's dimms must be installed in pairs of matched memory size, speed, and technology, also the total number of dimms in the server must total 2,4,8, or 12. So with your configuration you are resulting in 6 dimms, which wouldn't be supported.
