Is the PowerEdge R610 Compatible with DELL VMware ESXi 5.1 Update 1 Recovery Image ?
Hi all,
Does anyone know if the R610 is compatible with the VMware ESXi 5.1 Update 1 Recovery Image ? It's not on the compatibility list but the R620 is there. We use both servers in our VMWare environment and I'm keen to update to 5.1 U1.

Hi Lee,
The long wait has it's result.
Seems it's a typo. Engineering replied that it is supported.
Let me know if you face any other issues.

Hi Lee,
Seems that Power Edge compatible list for ESXi 5.1 U1 have R610 in it.

There might be an error typo in the compatible list for the recovery image.
Give it a try, whilst I'll check with the content team.

Thanks for the information. Yep I can see the R610 is listed as compatible in the pdf which is great. I'm sure the R610 is compatible as it's listed as compatible with ESXi 5.5.
I'm still wary of updating the R610 though as you cannot download the 5.5 U1 image from the R610 page but perhaps it's because its not listed as compatible. I'd say it's ok but would nice the content team can confirm the typo :emotion-1:
