R210 II ClientOS Win 8.1 or 10

Hello,

does anyone has tried to installal Windows 8.1 or 10 to the R210 II?

Actually i use Win7 64Bit but its going very slow. I have to use a clientOS because 1 Software won't work with ServerOS

Thanks a lot

Windows 8/10 will be slow too ... it is because of the graphics. The R210 II is a server and does not handle graphics-intense work (which, in this case includes client OS GUI).

Solution: Install Server OS or VMWare ESXi and run your client as a virtual machine. The R210 II is not built to be a powerful VM host either, but it should be able to run one.

You could also try disabling ALL graphical features, including themes/desktop experience.

Why not use an industry leader, VMware? It's free. You can take your chances on a second-tier hyper-visor if you want, but I wouldn't.

I don't know how Debian would run on the R210 II as it is not supported, but I wouldn't consider it for this project.

Hi,

Thanks
