Start NIC Teamning
Hii All,
I want to do NIC Teamning in our office for windows 2008 R2

Here are the steps to setup a Broadcom NIC team:
1. Right click one of the Network Connections and click Properties.
2. In the Network Connections properties box, select Internet Protocol from the list of connections and click Properties
3. Verify that "obtain an IP address automatically" and "obtain DNS server address automatically" are selected and click cancel.
4. If they are not selected, select them and click OK.
5. Click Cancel to close out the properties box.
6. Follow this procedure for each NIC that will be part of the team.
7. Once the Network adapters have been verified, go to Start, the Broadcom, and then choose the Broadcom Advanced Control Suite.
8. With the Broadcom Advanced Suite open, right click one of the network adapters that you want in the team and select the "Create a Team" option.
9. You should now see the Broadcom Teaming Wizard. Click Next.
10. Enter a name for your network adapter team and click Next.
11. There are several options available for types of network adapter teams to create.
12. Choose "Smart Load Balancing" and click Next .
13. In the Available Adapters box, highlight the first adapter you want to add to the list and Click Add. Do this for each adapter you want to add and click Next.
14. You can choose another NIC as a standby member or click next to continue.
15. If you require LiveLike for your environment, you can choose to enable here or click next to proceed.
16. Optional:
Note: LiveLink detects loss of network connectivity beyond the switch and routes traffic only through team members that have a LiveLink.
Provide IP addresses of hosts that should be configured as LiveLink targets, select a probe target, and then click Edit Target IP Address.
Type the IP address of the target, and then click OK.
17. Next option is VLAN; click no to continue.
Optional: Select Yes to configure a VLAN for the team, and then click Next.
Give the VLAN a name, and then click Next.
Select Untagged for the VLAN type, and then click Next.
Select Yes to configure additional VLANs, or click Next to continue.
18. To finish, make sure that "Commit Changes and return to Broadcom Advanced Control Suite" is selected and click Finish. On the popup box that appears, click Yes.
19. Click Ok to close the Broadcom Advanced Control Suite window.
20. Now that your network adapter team has been created, you will to setup the IP address for the team.
21. Right click the team that was just created.
22. Choose properties.
23. Highlight the TCP/IP from the list of connection types and click Properties.
24. Select "Use the following IP address" and fill in the appropriate IP address information.
25. Then select "Use the following DNS server addresses" and fill in the appropriate DNS server information.
26. Click OK to close the TCP/IP properties box.
27. Click close on the Network Adapter Team properties box.
28. The network adapter team is now created.
29. Once the team has been created, you can test the team to make sure it is working.
30. Open the Broadcom Advanced Control Suite
31. Expand Network Interfaces.
32. Expand Team Group 1 and then expand the Virtual Adapters folder.
33. Highlight the team you have created and select the Network Test tab on the right. Make sure its selected and click Test to start the test.
34. Once its finished, it will show if its passed or failed.
