W2K3 Automated System Recovery (ASR)

Has anyone gotten the subject above to work on a PowerEdge 2600 with a RAID 5 configuration.

1. I understand I boot from the W2K3 OS software CD.

2. Hit F2 when prompted to initiate the ASR.

3. It then calls for the RAID controller drivers on a floppy.

Step 3 is the show stopper.  Anyone know how to place the driver on a floppy?

Any assistance is appreciated.

Hi,

This is the driver you need:

LSI Logic Perc 4/di Driver, Windows Server 2003, v.6.41.2.32, A03
FileName: perc-cerc-w2k3-6.41.2.32-A03.exe [105 KB]

Thanks for using the Dell Community Forums!

Hi,
I'm also testing on the W2k3 ASR on PE1750. Before  press F2, you need to press F6. After that press F2. After ASR diskettes have been inserted as required, press Shift-s to install the PERC driver.
I'm having an error after that, the message as below:
Press F8 in the next 5 seconds to skip network configuration.
[Critical] Failed to initialize. Please press a key to exit the DR process.

Do you encounter this error?

I'm going to load the NIC driver on the next testing and see the result.

Regards.
