Windows 2008 and Vitual key installation

Dear community,

Ik have a PowerEdge 710 with a valid COA of Windows Server 2008 standard, this COA also has a Virtual Key license on it.

I can make a VM Ware virtual machine with the supplied Dell OEM disk P/N 37G04. When I try to activate the virtual key following the instructions from the Dell document " Installating Virtual Machines on Dell PowerEdge Servers using Dell OEM Media"  I get a message that the virtual key is not a valid windows server key.

What I'm doing wrong?

Stephan

Never tried a Dell OEM disk.   But normal OEM 2008 server should and does work fine with the virtual keys.
