Well its general way how you upgrade a VM. Below are the steps. Please note you cannot upgrade only the rpowermt CLI as EMC does not release a standalone version of RTOOLS for Sles.

Also, your lockbox will be preserved while upgrading.

Procedure:

·         Download the latest vApp 1.1 ISO image from EMC Support web site.

·         Copy the ISO image into a Datastore using vSphere Client.

·         Map the ISO to the VM’s CD ROM. Select device status as Connected.

On the VMware Studio Web interface.

·         Use the URL https:// :5480 to access VMware studio interface.

·         Log into the interface and navigated to update tab -> setting tab

·         Under Update repository section selected “Use CDROM updates” and saved the setting.

·         Navigate -> status,

·         Click “Check Updates”

·         It gives a message update available. [If the ISO is attached of higher version]

·         Click “Install Updates”

·         Start upgrade process.

·         Reboot the Appliance after the upgrade is complete

Please consider moving this question as-is (no need to recreate) to the proper forum for maximum visibility.  Questions written to the users' own "Discussions" space don't get the same amount of attention and can go unanswered for a long time.

You can do so by selecting "Move" under ACTIONS along the upper-right.  Then search for and select: "PowerPath".

It is new enough where I haven't had a chance to review (just released this past Friday), but I'll assume there is nothing mentioned in the Installation and Administration Guide?  Regardless, let's see what others suggest once relocated.
