is it possible to disable paths from a particular HBA

RHEL AS 3 update
I have erros reporting from one of the two HBA(two paths). which is causing performance issues. can i disable two paths from that particular HBA?? Need to disable A4&b4 paths only.

I dont know if it is possible to disabled card? and hot it impacts if done online??

Found it:
In the "PowerPath Family CLI and System Messages Reference Guide 5.2 and 5.3 A03" on page 16 I found 2 commands to disble ports:
- powermt disable hba
- powermt set port_disable

I suggest you read through this manual, since it's explained very well ;)

You could block the port in the SAN that the port is connected to.

I know in Windows you can do it, but I don't know the corresponding commands.

"portdisable" commands do it on some switches.But any power path commands which can do the same effect?

Blocking (disable or persistentdisable) a switch port is the easiest way, but I merely tried to hand you an alternative. I'm (pretty) sure you can stop traffic from going over a particular path.
