"Unlic" path
Hi all,
I've inserted a license key in my EMC powerpath (PowerPath (c) Version 4.5.1 (build 1))
It seems all right because powerpath says:
# powermt check_registration
Key xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
Product: PowerPath
Capabilities: All
but when I run "display" command I find some "unlic" path as following:

BasicFailover is a "give-away" option which requires no license key, to allow non-disruptive upgrades to be performed on the Clariion. It doesn't perform any load-balancing, and only allows two paths to be configured (hence why your other two show as "Unlic").
Its probably happened because storage was configured before the PP license key was installed.
To resolve this:
# powermt set policy=co class=clariion dev=all
# powermt save

- check powerpath license - powermt check_registration
- check devices : powermt display dev=all | more
- check number of dead paths : powermt display paths
- remove dead paths : powermt check (useful to see if a single HBA or port is acting funny)
- scan paths : powermt config
- save config : powermt save (usually after powermt config)
- check version - powermt version
