PowerStore exam
Dear All,
Hope you all doing great!
I see on the board discussion that there is a new content for administration and implementation of EMC PowerStore v2 and I'm planning to take the exam this summer I'm asking if the course objectives DES 1221 will change soon?
Please let me know.

Hi Asta,
The updated PowerStore specialist certification 2.0 should go live on February 11th 2022.
The course objective should change accordingly.

I have 2 question please.
1. So after the updated of PowerStore specialist certification 2.0 released i'm not able to pass to version 1 .
2. And the material for the the v1.0 will not be helpful for preparing the v2.0?
Please let me know.

Hi Asta,
When the certification will be updated to 2.0 you won't be able to pass the 1.0.
The go-live date for the 2.0 certification exam has been pushed to 18th February 2022.
The material for the 1.0 will be very helpful even for the 2.0 certification as the training content is 90% identical.
You just need to go through the differences between PowerStore 1.0 and 2.0 to be properly prepared for the certification in addition to the PowerStore 1.0 training that you attended.
You can check for the PowerStore 2.0 differences training (only for internals). Otherwise you can have a look to the PowerStore 2.0 release note and the PowerStore 2.0 New Features thread that I've created in the PowerStore community.

Hi Folks,
Just a clarification here.
Even though the certification will be updated with the PowerStore 2.0 training content, the certification itself will still remain at 1.0 version after the 18th February update.
After February 18th the Certification version will still be 1.0 and the questions from the certification will be based upon the PowerStore 2.0 product version.
