MD3000 Unreadable sectors detected
Good Morning:
I have an MD3000 that is running firmware: 07.35.39.64 and has unreadable sectors. Id like to know next steps to troubleshoot. What is the process and steps to clear the logs and what are the ramifications.

Hi,
What RAID level is being used? You should start by running a consistency check and media verification. Page 39 downloads.dell.com/.../powervault-md3000_owner's manual_en-us.pdf

Can a media scan be run at anytime? I.E when data is being accessed?

Raid 5 is being used. I will look into the consistency check as well.
