MD3000 and setting up Microsoft Cluster
I have 2 PE2970s attached to a MD3000. I followed the manual to make sure the cabling is correct. I installed the registry additions that were on the CD for servers in a cluster. Yet I still cant seem to share a virtual drive on MD3000 between the 2 servers in order to set up the cluster. I've googled and googled this and cant seem to find any help. Both servers see the drive i've created, but when adding the 2nd node to the cluster I keep getting the error that there is no common resources between them. Any help would be appreciated.

It's a 2003 cluster. Both servers are running Server 2003 r2 Enterprise x64

Are you installing a 2003 or 2008 cluster?

Are you following the Software Installation and Troubleshooting Guide found here?

Yes I followed that. i dont have redundant paths between the the 2 servers and the array. I dont see how that would be the issue. I create the first node, and as soon as the quorum drive is created on the first node, on the 2nd node it shows up as an Unknown disk. Because of this when it checks to make sure that there are shared resources between the 2 servers it fails, and wont let me add the 2nd node.

When adding the second node to the cluster... Add the second nodes name then click the advanced button and and then select the advanced radio button, then click next. This will stop the cluster install from scanning for the disks again. You will get several yellow bangs on the next screens because you choose the advanced option. This is normal and you should ignore them. You should then have the base cluster installed.
