MD3200i SAS Port Failed

I've got an issue with my MD3200i.

MD storage manager shows that SAS ports failed:

"RAID Controller Module 1, Physical Disk Channel 2, Port: Out"

"RAID Controller Module 0, Physical Disk Channel 2, Port: Out"

Used these smcli commands to reset status:

smcli -n <storage-name> -p password -c "clear allPhysicalDiskChannels stats;"

smcli -n <storage-name> -p password -c "set physicalDiskChannel [0] status=optimal;"

smcli -n <storage-name> -p password -c "set physicalDiskChannel [1] status=optimal;"

commands completed successfully , but errors still there.

Please advice what can be done in this case.

Re: MD3200i SAS Port Failed

Hello Badrich,

You only ran the command to clear 2 of the 4 channels that are on an MD3200i.  You need to clear the stats for channel 2 & 3 as well. Here are the commands that need to be run:

smcli -n <storage-name> -p password -c "clear allPhysicalDiskChannels stats;"

smcli -n <storage-name> -p password -c "set physicalDiskChannel [0] status=optimal;"

smcli -n <storage-name> -p password -c "set physicalDiskChannel [1] status=optimal;"

smcli -n <storage-name> -p password -c "set physicalDiskChannel [2] status=optimal;"

smcli -n <storage-name> -p password -c "set physicalDiskChannel [3] status=optimal;"

If after running the command’s you are still getting the error, then we will need to review a support bundle from your MD3200i.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
