PowerVault ME5024 Disk Group
Hi All,
I have 7 SSD's in ME5024. While I am trying to add Virtual Disk Group, I select Raid Level 5 and tick on all 7 available Disk but the option "Add Disk Group" is greyed out. I am able to create Raid 5 through CLI but not through GUI. Any idea where I am missing?

Can you please share the Screenshot of the error that you are facing?
1. There are certain raid levels for a system that are accepted according to the models.
2. Some of the Raid Are not allowed by the Controller itself.

Hi Praveen,
Below is the screenshot. You can see Minimum number of disks required are 12. I have tried creating Virtual and Linear both pools but not able to create Raid 1,5 as option the "Add Disk Group" is greyed out.
Firmware is latest.

Hello Kapil,
thanks, I can see you want to add a disk Group in POOL A, what is the status of Pool A?
Any other raid system is allowing you to perform?
Or you can ping me private to clear the scenario.

Hi Praveen,
There is now way I can add any Raid level, be it Raid 0,1 or 5. However I am able to create all Raid levels using CLI commands. There is no other Disk Group added to Pool A.
