I did replace one faulted HD (Dell, 3TB, MG04SCA300) in a MD1200 array with another one ( Toshiba, MG04SCA300E).
the MDSS indicated that the new HD is unsupported so i went to download latest Dell PowerVault MD Series Storage HDD/SSD Firmware and unfortunately i couldn't find (MG04SCA300E) in the downloaded list.
how i can get the firmware of this physical drive to make it recognized by the system

The drive you listed isn't showing as supported in the device. If you look at the links below, they are the supported drives for both units.

Unfortunately, the hard drive is not on the list. I wish I had known that before buying the 2 HD.
Is there any way for the disk to be recognized by the system?
Isn't it possible to include this device in the updated drives list?!

Hi, I'm not aware of any other way to recognize unlisted disks. If other users have had similar experiences and achieved, maybe they can help.
I haven't been able to solve the problem and I think the only solution is if Dell includes (Toshiba, MG04SCA300E) in the next storage hard drive/SSD firmware updates.
I hope that will be soon.
