iSCSI port fatal errors on the working controller

Hello,

I have an MD3000i that I have replaced in production with two Equallogic units.  Now I'm trying to reuse the MD3000i as a backup target device.  Although it was working properly with two controllers when it was our primary SAN after changing the drive configuration around I'm now having problems with the former primary controller.  I have since moved the secondary controller into slot zero and set the other controller to offline.  I was able to create my storage arrays,disk groups and such but when I try to connect with an iSCSI initiator I get the following loop.  I'm having a hard time believing that both controllers have gone bad at the same time because the unit never left the cabinet.  I'd be happy to revert to Simplex mode but I haven't been able to figure that out.  If I put the controller in slot 1 back online the MD3000i will go back to optimal for about ten minutes then I eventually get a message about the thermal sensor and loss of connectivity to slot 1.

you have to change the redundancyMode variable with SMcli or the script editor from within MDSM or IBM's DS10 storage manager (same difference except slightly different syntax)

Anyway, the command for going from duplex to simplex is:

set storageArray redundancyMode=simplex;

to go to duplex it's

set storageArray redundancyMode=duplex;

not too bad :)  Can't run these from the serial console, but SMcli or the script editor will work.
