Dell Precision 3430 3.5" HDD caddy

I bought a used Dell Precision 3430 SFF machine, and I want to install a 3.5 inch HDD into it.

The specifications say that this is a supported configuration, but there are no matching screw holes to install the HDD with. I assume I need some kind of brackets/caddy. I can find the 2.5" caddy online but not the 3.5" caddy. It isn't listed in the parts on Dell's website.

Can anyone tell me the part number I need please so I can search for it online, and/or where I can buy it from?

It would be better to install a 2.5inch SSD instead.

If you want to use an old-school spinning-platter HDD with a SFF, this is a better solution. HDD is so slow, there is really no speed bottleneck.

Not really a viable solution for me as I need 10tb of space. I can't even buy a 10tb ssd. An 8tb ssd is £600 roughly, vs a 10tb hdd which is roughly £200. I have a small ssd for the OS and I'm happy with that being loose in the case where the optical drive usually sits, but I don't want the hdd sat there loose due to the extra wear that it'd get because of the moving parts.

1. You put the 10tb HDD in the external USB-3.0 Enclosure. I suggest you get TWO and use one for a backup, because when it crashes, that's a lot of data to lose all at once.

Or, just go ahead and invest in a Synology NAS. With a 4-bay, you can setup a RAID-5 Redundant array.

2. I suggest you mount any-and-all internal drives securely.

Given that the 3430 is built like the 3420 , this

is the original adapter for the 3420 ( there's a pic of an opened system, so you can compare )
