I have a problem with my Dell Precision T3500

I got an Intel Xeon X5670 and for some reason, it doesn't want to boot or post. I have a Xeon W3503 CPU, GTX 1060/6GB, 32GB DDR3 1600MHz, and an SSD as my OS. I am very confused why it is having a problem with the other processor, all of what I have read says it is compatible with the board so I am wondering if maybe it has to do with bios or something else. But first I thought I should check with yall.

Looking at some threads https://www.dell.com/community/Desktops-General-Read-Only/Precision-T3500-CPU-upgrade-to-X5650-help-needed/td-p/4603247 https://www.dell.com/community/Precision-Fixed-Workstations/Dell-Precision-T3500-CPU-Upgrade-which-one-to-get/td-p/6205723 I would say that : 1) it should work but 2) there are 3 different revisions of the motherboard of the T3500 , and feels like the 2nd and 3rd revision were tried, while is unclear about the first revision 3) you may first try to upgrade the bios to see if it solves the issue 4) if is a 2nd / 3rd revision with the upgraded bios, the "new" cpu could be faulty

https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us?lwp=rt use your serial number / service tag to get to the T3500 support area Then check the drivers/sw offered. You can limit it to Bios. Download the package and run it, that's all. In the description of the last version, there's also the option to download older versions of the bios.
