Precision 3240 Compact - Quadro RTX 3000 part number?

I made a mistake and ordered a RTX 3000 from eBay, which ended up being a MXM model, without a PCIe connector.

I am wondering about the correct model or part # for Quadro RTX 3000 that's compatible with Precision 3240 Compact and that has a PCIe connector.

@Chino de Oro   MXM is not PCI-E form factor so I don't understand "right card"

The sub compact unit in your picture has a riser card which if I'm not mistaken cannot be added to a model that shipped without a discrete GPU.

Eurocom MXM-to-PCIe x16 adapter lets you put a laptop GPU inside of a desktop PC that is a full size tower.

there is no such low profile RTX 3000 model.

Quadro P400 comes to mind. Newer model would be the T400.

Built on NVIDIA Turing™ GPU architecture, the NVIDIA  T400 fits in your 3240.

@tonydoe , you got the right graphics card.  Here is the list of GPU discrete for your precision.  Here is the datasheet.  And here is a picture of an installed RTX3000.

Thanks everyone for your input. It is my understanding that the card I returned (Quadro RTX 3000 MXM) is the correct form factor, but I was missing the MXM-to-PCIe x16 adapter card.

If I had known this earlier, I would have kept the card, and ordered the converter card. Oh well.

@tonydoe

The converter card without MXM module is $500.

Brand New RTX 4000 card is $999 on ebay but its for a tower that supports 150W card.

There isn't a low profile RTX 3000 card afaikt.

I did a bit more digging, and the RTX 3000 card model N19E-Q1-KA-A1 which I bought is not a MXM card, hence it is not compatible with MXM converter card, as suggested by speedstep.

The correct model is N19E-Q1-KD-A1, such as this model by PNY, which is inded MXM, and probably would work with the MXM converter.

It seems nVidia ships the chip using a variety of different connectors, so careful research needs to be done to assure the right card is purchased.

I only noted MXM would not physically fit based on what was posted.  I never said that the MXM conversion would FIT.  I specifically said that only a TOWER model would work at all with MXM card.

The card you specify is a daughter board that needs a right angle riser and a board to mount to that plugs into an X16 slot on the compact model.

Dell Precision 7730 7740 use RTX 3000

These are Dell's proprietary form factor, the Dell Graphics Form Factor (DGFF)

DGFF GPU form factor

Precision 7540

Quadro T1000: CWF0J
Quadro T2000: HV0DX
Quadro RTX 3000: MWDWM
Quadro RTX 4000: 9RY45
Quadro RTX 5000: 8CMTP

Precision 7740

Quadro RTX 3000: RY4MY
Quadro RTX 4000: 5HPJW
Quadro RTX 5000: K9TJP

I also believe that the riser cannot be added if the system did not ship with a discrete GPU and dell parts will not sell those pieces separately.

@DELL-Chris M  would have more information.
