SSD not showing up in BIOS

Installed a new Crucial MX500 500GB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD in my Precision T3600 to replace my main hard drive.  The drive shows up in disk management and Windows Explorer but doesn't show up in the BIOS.  I've up dated to the current drivers and BIOS.  Any help would be appreciated.

Re: SSD not showing up in BIOS

Hi @oldgunny ,

Any RAID card or extra SATA controller installed in PCIe slot? There's a property for T3600/T5600/T7600 that when you installed these kind of controllers, HDD/SSD connected to on-board controller or the add-on controller won't be shown in BIOS but able to work in Windows.

Take my T5600 as example, when hard drives connected to on-board SATA ports with no PCIe hard drive controller installed, BIOS displayed as this:

But when a PCIe SATA 3.0 controller added, no matter if hard drives connected to this add-on controller or to the on-board one, it displayed like this:

“May the Force be with Dell.”
