T5810 10pin PSU?

My T5810 has a 24 pin connector, but doesn't boot, and looks DOA. Using a generic Rosewill 750W PSU.

I see there's a 10 pin connector on the board.

Does it use a proprietary power supply, or should it work with a generic one?

I found both pcie 6pin and 2x CPU 4 pin fit the 10pin, But with 2 pins not connected.

I didn't boot using pcie 6 pin, because it appeared that the 12v and ground on those are in reverse from the 2x4  CPU pins.

Re: T5810 10pin PSU?

Hi @ProDigit ,

Never use a generic PSU on Dell workstation. Even though you found those connection heads fit into socket, cable allocation may not be the same. It would be quite dangerous when you test with PCIe and CPU connection the way you described.

Check on the post regarding a proper PSU replacement for T5810. All part numbers included.

Thanks, I'll give the PSU a try.

The other one isn't lost, as it can still feed the graphics cards and risers.
