5750 - SSD slots
Purchased a new 5750 and it's on its way. I saw that there are slots for extra SSD's so I went with the smallest (256GB) and will just add a high end 2TB aftermarket SSD. However, in looking at the build sheet, what type of SSD slots are left? Can I use a PCIe? I'm just not familiar with what M.2230 or M.2280 is.
M.2 256GB PCIe NVMe Class 35 Solid State Drive
M.2230 SSD Bracket
M.2280 SSD Bracket
Also, when I put the additional drive in and turn it on for the first time, what will I need to do to install it with the OS? Will I format before startup?

Is M.2280 the same as PCIe NVMe?

Ok, 2280 refers to the physical size of the SSD. That would be 22mm wide and 80 mm long. NVMe is the interface for the drive as opposed to SATA. So a 2280 M.2 SSD could be either, except in your case it would be an NVMe M.2 SSD. NVMe drives are roughly 5 times the speed of SATA, depending on the drive as some M.2 drives run at slower speeds but still faster than SATA. There are a number of M.2 drives that will be compatible with your system such as Crucial, Western Digital (and I recommend the WD Black), Adata, etc. This YouTube video should help with general information. And this Dell support page has more information.
