Can I install two different video cards on a t7400 running win7 64

Jump to solution

i have currently installed an ati radeon hd 3450. i also have a geforce 7200gs and a want to have 4 video outputs or 6 (they both have three ports). is it possible to have two different video cards installed that are not sli/crossfire leaving alone from the same company or even two of the same cards also not sli/crossfire from the same company? also a follow up question of the same scenario but with win10 of some version? i have read over a bunch of the questions that google finds as matches but none seem to answer the specific question(s).

i have not read a lot about sli/crossfire mostly because i cannot afford just one of the required cards, but also i am not trying to improve the performance of just 1 app. just want 4 or 6 outputs inexpensively.

The 3400 5400 7400 DOES NOT SUPPORT SLI let alone 2 different kinds of cards.

They Do Support OLDER cards like 5770 in Crossfire mode with SAME Card for both.

If you need 4 outputs then a Quadro is in order.

If you need 6 then its a Radeon Eyefinity card.
