I was deploying a laptop to employee today and finished. Grabbed another 7530 and placed on top of another closed lid 7530 and fired up. Would not post. Thought I had a doa new laptop. I moved it off the top of the other laptop and it started up. I placed back on top of the other laptop again and it goes to sleep(??). I grabbed another laptop off the shelf, same thing. Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has this anomaly or understands why this happens.
Just a hunch and I am not sure about this but on the Dell laptops I have seen the lid switch is activated by a magnet in the LCD housing. It is possible the magnet from the laptop on the bottom was activating the switch on the laptop that was on top.
