Precision 7750 Coil Whine

Hi. My Precision 7750 has the coil whine issue. I can reduce the whine noise by disabling the "C States" option in BIOS (v1.5.0). May I expect any negative consequences for the hardware if I will keep the "C States" disabled all the time?
