1230c Laserjet: ssmmgr.exe will not shutdown...any fixes out there?

Everytime we shut down the PC, ssmmgr.exe has to be manually shut down.  I understand that it has to do with the printer monitoring system (Samsung?).  How do I fix this??  Any help would be appreciated.

jkweaver7,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

Search for any updated drivers for your printer. Uninstall and reinstall the drivers. The samsung monitoring software could have a bug causing you to manually shutdown the system. You may want to not install the samsung monitoring software.

I found this information by searching google.

You need to completely delete and reinstall your drivers and Smart Panel software. Delete the printer from the [Printers & Faxes] menu in [Control Panel]. After that, go again into [Control Panel], then into [Add Remove Programs] and search (in alphabetical order) for the Samsung Status Monitor. Then click on [Remove].

After you are finished, reinstall from the original CD keeping in mind not to connect the unit untill the installation procedure tells you to do so.
