A924 printer problem
This is my first time to post so apologies if I'm not up to par.
I am getting an error message "right cartridge incorrect" when I try to print. Both cartridges are the originals and are about half full. I have deleted and reinstalled the printer and have cleaned the contacts on the cartridges. Any ideas?

Try re-installing the printer this way and see if it helps.
Disconnect your printer. Download and run this patch to completely remove the printer from your computer.
Restart your computer.
Download the proper drivers.
XP Drivers
Vista 32-bit Drivers
All other drivers
Install the proper drivers. You'll be prompted when to connect your printer(powered on)
Scanning
Scanning using USB connection, open the Dell All-In-One Center, click on scanning and copying and scan from there.
Scanning wirelessly, use the scan buttons on the printer.
If these are Dell ink cartridges, then it's possible that you try cleaning them first and see what happens. Dell ink cartridges have a sensor in them that cannot be reset.

No luck unfortunately, it comes up as "unsupported cartridge" at the end of the installation.

Dell Series 5 ink cartridges have a sensor in them that cannot be reset. Article on refilling Dell ink cartridges.
Dell Series 5 ink cartridges can be purchased at Staples, Walmart or Dell's Website.
If these ink cartridges are new, then take them to the place of purchase for a refund or replacements. If they're old, then try purchasing a new Dell Series 5 ink cartridge.

Fitted a new cartridge today, problem solved. The guy in the store said the print head was blown and this was a common problem with this cartridge:emotion-12: Thanks for the help.
