AIO 926 Printer
Hello...I am trying to use the scanner on my Dell AIO 926 printer however, I keep getting the message that the scan request has failed. Do I need to have ink in the printer in order to use the scanner? Someone please assist ASAP. Please and thank you!

Thanks for responding. No, I cannot make copies. My ink is low but I still tried to print, but it was blank. I am just trying to scan a doucment so that I can send it on to where it needs to go. When I plugged up the printer and downloaded the drivers I assumed I would be able to just scan.

Can you make a copy of a document when you put it under the glass? B&W and color?

Try reinstalling the printer using the instructions located at...
926 Photo All-In-One Printer owners thread (W7)
Running the patch is important with Vista and Windows 7 machines but does work with XP, too. Installing the drivers before connecting the printer is also important.
