AIO 948 Printer Cartridges

Can printer cartridges (Series 11) dry out?  I tried using my printer (AIO 948) tonight for the first time since I bought it (about a year ago) and I'm being told my ink is low.  If I haven't used the printer since the test pages when I set it up, how can the ink be low?

Thanks.

KJH2009,

Yes, it's possible for an ink cartridge to dry out if you do not use it. I have also seen where the printer said one thing and the computer said another.

You can try Cleaning Dell ink cartridges if they do not produce any printing results. It may or may not work. I use a different series cartridges in my printer and I usually wait until I get the low ink message to order a replacement so they don't dry out as quick. I mostly use my printer for homework and a few coupons.
