C1765nfw will not be recognised as a scanner - Windows 8.1
Title says it all really the installer detects the device and gives me an option to set it up as the default scanner, but once the install is complete it doesn't show as a scanner nor can any scanning application see it. I have tried this on 3 separate machines, same result every time.

Hey, I just got this printer and am having the same issue. Where you able to find a resolution? And help would be much appreciated.

I have the same problem. The installer installs. Finds the printer. Lets me set it as the default scanner, and the default printer. Then restart.
The printer is found, but right-clicking it in devices & printers shows no Scan option.
Opening Scanners and Cameras doesn't show the printer. I can "add device" and choose the device, but after doing so, it still doesn't show up as a scanner.

I am still working on this issue myself. Do you have any special router setup or configuration?
