Can I Do This?
So I have posted already about wanting to buy a new tower...specifically a Inspiron Model l570-911 3BK. My question: can I still use the AIO 940 that I got some 8 years ago with the 4600? It works fine, even tho I have had a few ink problems in the last year. Or is it just for the 4600? I still have the original installation cds.

Printers and all in ones can be used with any computer. However you should check for windows 7 64 bit drivers for it. Some old printers and other old peripherals cannot be used with the latest operating system. After 8 years, you are due for a new aio anyway. They are cheap enough since the ink is where all the profit is.

I don't think it should be a problem. If you read the Dell A940 All-In-One Printer owners thread (W7) before connecting the printer, and you shouldn't have any problems. Virus programs and firewalls will block communications.

I know this is late, but it works! I got the XPS a few days and am able to use the 940 with it!
