DELL 968: Issues with document feeder
I have a Dell 968 printer and when I copy or scan using the document feeder dark lines appear vertically down the page. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Yukon618,
Open the lid where you'd put a document if you'd lay it on the glass. The eded towards the ADF if probably dirty. Try cleaning it with a lint free cloth, something like a coffee filter. The scanner bulb lights up but stays stationary when using the ADF. It's that edge to look for something near that edge.

This worked beautifully..i used windex and a papertowel to clean the narrow piece of glass to the left of the main glass...
