Dell 1700 printer on Windows Vista
REferbished Dell 1700 printer......
Windows Vista.............
Downloaded software from dell.....
says software cant be installed this way.....
tried "Add a printer" and shows the printer but, says error when tring to print "TEST" page....
manually printed test page and looks perfect.....
when hooked up in USB port says unknown device......
ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRICATED..........Thank You In Advance....

If your refurb printer had the XP installation CD with it, try it. Whaddaya got to lose? I used that CD on Win7, and it worked.
